PEE-WEE AS HIMSELF WINS AT GOTHAM AWARDS

PEE-WEE AS HIMSELF, the new documentary series directed by Matt Wolf and streaming on Max, has WON for Outstanding Original Film, Broadcast or Streaming at the 2025 Gotham Awards.

David Paul Jacobson was Director of Photography for this Sundance-selected series, which follows the life and career of actor and comedian Paul Reubens, best known for portraying the character Pee-wee Herman. The documentary features revelatory interviews taped just before Reubens’ death in 2023.

The series was produced by Elara Pictures and Emma Tillinger Koskoff.
