IDA Documentary Awards

MAESTRA has been nominated for Best Music Documentary at the 40th International Documentary Association Awards, taking place December 5th 2024 in Los Angeles.

The compelling Maggie Contreras-directed documentary follows five women as they compete in “La Maestra”, the world’s only competition for female orchestra conductors. MAESTRA was awarded Second Place Audience Award in Documentary when it premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Festival.
