In director Babak Jalali’s new film, a former translator for the US military in Afghanistan struggles to rebuild her life while working at a Chinese fortune cookie factory in Fremont, California.

The film stars Anaita Wali Zada, leading a cast that includes Gregg Turkington, Boots Riley, and Jeremy Allen White.
