2024 JAPAN ACADEMY FILM PRIZE AWARDS

Wim Wenders has been awarded Best Director for PERFECT DAYS at the 2024 Japan Academy Film Prize Awards.

Wenders is the first non-Japanese filmmaker in its entire 47-year history to receive this recognition. He collaborated with Director of Photography Franz Lustig to shoot this film, described as Wenders’ strongest narrative work in years.

PERFECT DAYS was also selected by Japan as their entry to the 2024 Academy Awards, where competed for the Best International Feature Film award at the Oscars Ceremony on Sunday, March 10th.
